What is Teen Court?
Bee Cave Teen Court is a voluntary program which allows juvenile Class C misdemeanor offenders to make resolution for their citation through community service and involvement in the judicial process. The program offers teenage offenders an important second chance to learn from their mistakes without the high cost and stigma of a criminal record.
How to Volunteer
Students in high school interested in learning more about courtroom operations and wanting to perform valuable community service may volunteer to serve on the Teen Court Jury Panels. Applications are accepted in August and terms run through May of the following year. The volunteer jurors receive a community service opportunity which will reflect well on future college and employment applications. To volunteer you must be ages 14-19, attend school, have reliable transportation and parent’s permission. Teen Court meets at 5:00 p.m.one day per month. Attendance is required to ensure success of this program.
